Pomelo Chess Society

Joining the INmusic Festival lineup is also Pomelo Chess Society, an instrumental trio from Rijeka that describes its style as “Chess Math Rock”. Their music combines the precision of math rock with unpredictable rhythmic shifts and atmospheric synth passages, creating an intense and almost ritualistic live experience. Through albums Pomelo Chess Society, En Passant, and Citrus Maximus, the band has steadily developed a sound balancing technical precision with emotional tension, while experiments with synth textures and digital guitar have further expanded their sonic identity. Their performances are known for explosive guitar sections, sudden dynamic changes, and a strong connection between bass and drums, immersing audiences completely from beginning to end. Their new single “Aperion”, released in early 2026, introduces a new creative chapter for the band and further amplifies the intensity of their signature sound.
