Gatuzo & Buendija

Gatuzo & Buendija

Gatuzo & Buendija present a new collaboration that combines rock energy and hip hop aesthetics into a raw, groove-driven and distinctly contemporary sound. The project emerged from years of creative overlap and a shared sensibility towards music that carries weight, message and authenticity, and very quickly developed into a complete album which, through strong beats and lyrics, brings a sharp, yet layered reflection of contemporary society and the inner states of the individual.
At the heart of this project are two distinctly formed authorial voices — Damir Trkulja Šiljo and Saša Antić, one the most recognizable and influential authors of the regional hip hop scene who helped shape the regional scene with his 25 years in TBF, and other critically acclaimed music projects. Their collaboration develops organically, without genre limitations, creating a space in which the raw energy of the band meets precise, layered and socially engaged lyrics.

The performance at INmusic Festival will be the premiere of this project live, through a set that will include previously unreleased material, making it one of the first encounters of the audience with this collaboration in a concert format.

Gatuzo, a band with more than two decades of activity on the scene, consists of Damir Trkulja Šiljo, Goran Martinjak, Slaven Špoljarić and Marin Živković. Founded in 2004 in Zagreb, they have a number of acclaimed releases and a reputation as one of the most energetic live bands in the region. Their sound is based on alternative rock with a touch of indie and blues, and albums such as Noge/Ruke/Glave (Porin for best alternative rock album) and Subota (2025) confirm their authorial and performing consistency.
