Kasabian

Formed in Leicester in 1997 in the bedroom of founding member Serge Pizzorno, Kasabian have grown into one of the defining acts of modern British rock. Kasabian are: Serge Pizzorno (vocals), Chris Edwards (bass), Ian Matthews (drums), and Tim Carter (guitar). Their self-titled debut album, released in 2004, marked a new era in UK alternative music. The breakthrough came with their second album, ‘Empire’ (2006), which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. The following years saw a series of critically acclaimed releases: ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’ (2009) earned them a Mercury Prize nomination and a BRIT Award for Best British Group, while albums ‘Velociraptor!’ (2011) and ‘48:13’ (2014) further cemented their place among Europe’s most exciting live acts. After a period of evolution and reinvention, Kasabian returned in top form with their seventh studio album, and their sixth UK number-one album, ‘The Alchemist’s Euphoria’ (2022).
