Porto Morto

Porto Morto

Porto Morto are Roko Crnić (voice, bass guitar), Hrvoje Klemenčić (keyboards, voice), Matija Brajković (guitar), Matej Perić (drums), Marijan Uroić (drums), Antun Aleksa (trombone, voice) and Marin Živković ), and their sound is difficult to classify into individual genres - from progressive pop, art rock to indie electronics, Porto Morto brings together musical styles in a recognizable and always fresh context and autonomous musical language. Therefore, it is not surprising that Porto Morto is one of the biggest surprises of the Croatian music scene in the past few years. The debut album of the same name from 2016 was followed by the fantastically accepted album 'Portofon' (2019), from which the collaboration with Darko Rundek on the single "Walk" wins the audiences on the first listen, and which provided Porto Mortu with three nominations for Porin Award. Recognizability is also built by the emphasized visual expression, which is elaborated in detail in videos and on stage. At the end of 2021, Porto Morto released their third studio album 'Portopop', which defined a new sound, a new stage identity, but also a new era of their career. 'Portopop' has been announced with fresh singles 'Čekam ih', 'Vrijeme za čilanje' and 'Fatamorgana' which are accompanied by great music videos recorded in their own production. The album was declared one of the best regional albums in 2021 by a number of portals and music critics, and in March 2022 they filled the Zagreb Culture Factory at a concert to remember. In the same month, they won Porin Awards for the best alternative album of 2021, and on May 9 this year they performed as one of 15 selected young European music hopes as part of the third digital edition of Music Europe Day, organized by the Europavox project.
