Edi East Trance Blues

Edi East Trance Blues

One of the most recognizable voices on the Croatian rock scene, frontman of the band Gustafi Edi Maružin, at the end of the last year decided to turn a new page in his career and presented the project Edi East Trance Blues. The band is set to make their INmusic festival debut at the lake Jarun this year. Maružin decided to make this project with a minimum number of collaborators and invited the accompanying musicians. He invited his longtime associate, drummer Čedomir Mošanj and producer Edi Cukerić, and the band was first joined by Pepe Ljuna (guitarist) and bassist Bili Milovan, later replaced by Danijel Paulović. The enthusiasm and the strong will initially shown by this quartet led by Cukerić convinced Maružin that it is a band, and so Edi East Trance Blues (EETB) was founded.

Although almost all albums by Gustafi consists of blues and there is always some blues song, this is the first time the whole repertoire consists of exclusively blues and trance blues. Inspired by the blues legend, the North Mississippi Hill Country Blues, like Fred McDowell, Junior Kimbrougha, Belton Sutherland, and legendary R.L. Burnside, EETB have released the album Sumpor and have embarked on a new project we will be listening to on Jarun lake this summer!
