Croatian Youth Network - Self-Advocacy Workshop

Croatian Youth Network - Self-Advocacy Workshop

The Croatian Youth Network (Mreža mladih Hrvatske – MMH) is an umbrella organization of youth associations and organizations for youth in Croatia, bringing together more than 70 member organizations. As the voice of young people and an expert partner, MMH is actively contributing to this year's festival program through collaboration on the "INvolvirani" project and by conducting educational workshops for festival visitors.

As part of this collaboration, the Croatian Youth Network supported this year's INmusic competition "INvolvirani", which invited high school students from all over Croatia to use TikTok videos to document their socially responsible activities in their local communities – ranging from nature clean-ups and recycling to volunteering and helping their peers. The winning teams secured their festival and camping tickets, and festival-goers will have the opportunity to get a closer look at their inspiring projects through a summary of activities presented at the festival. Building directly on the presentation of results and the "INvolvirani" project activity summary is the first of two workshops that MMH is bringing to the festival, led by Kristijan Orešković, Katarina Ljeljak, and Mihaela Špiljak. This workshop focuses on failure and learning through trial and error, and it will take place on Wednesday, June 24th, starting at 5:30 PM.

In addition, the Croatian Youth Network will host a workshop on self-advocacy, designed for young people who want to develop skills in setting boundaries and assertive communication. Through interactive and informal activities, participants will explore how to recognize their own needs, how to communicate them clearly and confidently to others, and how to react in situations when they feel pressured by their environment. This two-hour workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23rd, starting at 5:30 PM.
