Mal Pre Mal, RH Space Orkestra, One Cure and Orvel Complete the Impressive INmusic Festival #18 Lineup!
Just over a month remains until the start of the eighteenth edition of INmusic Festival, which will also celebrate its major 20th anniversary this year. Joining some of the biggest names of the global music scene are Mal Pre Mal, RH Space Orkestra, One cure and Orvel, officially completing this year’s lineup.
The Slovenian collective Mal Pre Mal has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting new names on the alternative scene. Their sound moves fluidly between post-punk, noise and improvisation, infused with strong influences of electronic music, hip-hop and free jazz. Formed in 2023 through spontaneous sessions in a bomb shelter, the band signaled serious artistic intent with their debut performance in Ljubljana. Known for their atmospheric and meticulously crafted live shows, they soon progressed to larger stages, including a performance alongside Fontaines D.C. at the sold-out Kino Šiška. Their 2024 debut album further established their reputation, while regional tours confirmed their strength both live and in recorded form.
Meanwhile, Zagreb-based RH Space Orkestra delivers an explosive and unpredictable fusion of jazz, hip-hop, funk and reggae. Led by Splinter RH, the project’s main creative force, the band blends experimental approaches with groove-driven structures. Their stream-of-consciousness style, paired with lyrics that span everyday observations and social commentary, defines a unique artistic identity. Drawing inspiration from the golden era of hip-hop while embracing the freedom of jazz improvisation, RH Space Orkestra’s dynamic instrumentation amplifies the energy and playfulness of their performances. Their music resists passive listening—it invites participation.
Representing a younger yet highly prolific segment of the scene, One cure brings a playful and authentic voice through an electro-punk aesthetic and indie sensibility. Their work is characterized by nostalgic soundscapes, humorous lyricism and a strong visual identity rooted in “girly” aesthetics. Following their debut single “Budućnost” and EP “Vani je lava,” the duo quickly built a recognizable style and gained attention across Croatia. Their vibrant live presence and continuous stream of releases position them as one of the most active emerging acts, successfully blending pop culture, irony and genuine emotion.
Long-standing representatives of Zagreb’s indie scene, Orvel have spent over a decade shaping their sound through a fusion of indie and art rock, synth-pop and folk rock influences. From their acclaimed debut “Dani” to their second album “Div,” inspired by the aesthetics of the 1980s, the band has consistently developed a layered and emotionally resonant body of work. Their more recent output, including the conceptually structured live album “Priče o putovanjima i stajanju na mjestu,” demonstrates artistic maturity and thematic depth, moving between raw guitar-driven energy and atmospheric, introspective compositions. Orvel continues to evolve while maintaining relevance within the contemporary music landscape.
Mal Pre Mal, RH Space Orkestra, One Cure and Orvel join an already impressive lineup alongside Gorillaz, Jack White, Kings of Leon, IDLES, The Flaming Lips, Manic Street Preachers, Jehnny Beth, Fat Dog, Sprints, KT Tunstall, Yonaka, Dry Cleaning and Joshua Idehen, among many others, all set to mark the 20th anniversary of Croatia’s biggest open-air festival.
