Šumski

Šumski are one of the longest-lived bands on the Croatian alternative scene. Founded in 1991 in Zagreb, since their beginnings they have nurtured a unique sound created under the influence of a whole range of musical styles - from afro, kraut, new wave, avant-pop, prog-rock to music from cartoons. In addition to Croatia, they have performed in Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Hungary, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany and the United Kingdom. Šumski have released five albums - 'Lov na vile', 'Safari', 'baba spava', 'Ronioci' and 'Ostrvo ledenog kita' from 2018, which marked excellent reviews in the media and presence on almost all lists of the best albums of 2018. With this album, a new rise of the band begins, culminating in concerts at important festivals in the region - INmusic, SuperUho, as well as cult club venues. The tireless Šumski were also active in concerts during the pandemic, playing concerts in Osijek, Sisak, Varaždin, Virovitica, Rab and Zagreb. Last year they celebrated 30 years of activity, and they also recorded music for the children's animated film 'Pisma na kraju šume'. They are currently finishing recording a new album, and the audience of INmusic #15 will have the opportunity to hear for the first time how the new Šumski sounds.
