About the Festival
INmusic is Croatia’s most renowned open-air rock festival, set on the beautiful islands of Jarun in Zagreb, where a relaxed boutique atmosphere meets top world-class musicians. NME magazine has called it Europe’s best-kept festival secret, while The Huffington Post described it as the Woodstock of the 21st century.
From Multikultura to INmusic, driven by the same vision — to bring world-renowned artists to the Croatian music scene.
The roots of INmusic Festival date back to the late 1990s, when the Multikultura project first introduced world music artists to Croatian audiences. The program brought legends such as Cesária Évora, Ibrahim Ferrer, Manu Chao, and Tinariwen to Zagreb, opening new cultural horizons and laying the foundation for what would later become INmusic Festival.
That spirit continues today — while the program has evolved over the years, it remains at the core of INmusic’s identity. Alongside global headliners and contemporary acts, the festival still provides a platform for the world music scene, preserving diversity as one of its defining features.
Each edition of INmusic is not just a series of top-tier concerts, but a meeting point of diverse traditions, perspectives, and sounds. What further sets the festival apart is its unique location — the islands of Lake Jarun in Zagreb, where international character meets natural beauty. Surrounded by water, trees, and open skies, INmusic offers a one-of-a-kind setting that perfectly reflects its mission: connecting people and cultures through music.

"INmusic is Croatia’s biggest and longest-standing open-air festival, and has a fine history of putting on amazing artists. In its first year, 2006, Franz Ferdinand and Morrissey were the headliners. In the years that have followed, the likes of Sonic Youth, The Stooges, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arctic Monkeys, New Order, LCD Soundsystem, The Flaming Lips and Pixies have all played. Legends, all of them."
"It's a rowdy moment, and it's a raucous festival at Lake Jarun. The previous day, Arcade Fire's singer, Win Butler, descended into the crowd, only to emerge, shirt ripped, and visibly perturbed. It's giddy. Butler delivers the statutory, 'it's a beautiful city, we love it here,' but you get the impression he means it." – Ben Walsh
"Not only does the IN music festival boast stellar rock performances by the likes of the Arctic Monkeys, Iggy and the Stooges, and NoFX, it also provides complimentary services for paying campers, like hot showers, WiFi, and charging stations for your electronics. Just call it the Woodstock of the 21st century. And while you won’t be swaying on muddy fields, you will be in the heart of the Croatian capital. When you need a break from headbanging, take a dip in the cool waters of Lake Jarun, find your inner Namaste with a free yoga session, or fork over a little extra coin for an excursion to Plitvice Lakes National Park."
