The Halka Ensemble was established in April 2013 by musicians from various parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of recording and performing music that perpetuates the tradition of the Sevdah and pays homage to its illustrious figures, such as Jozo Penava, Rade Jovanović, Zekerijah Đezić, Emina Zečaj, Nada Mamula, Zaim Imamović, Omer Pobrić and numerous others whose names have been obscured by the depths of time but without whom Halka would not have existed. In autumn 2014, Halka recorded the material for a new album "O ljubavi".
