Anniversary Edition of INmusic Festival Features Zagreb’s Independent Rock Clubs and Film Festivals
The 18th edition of INmusic Festival brings the spirit of Zagreb’s independent club scene together with a film selection curated by the country’s most prominent film festivals.
This year continues the long-standing collaboration between INmusic Festival and Zagreb’s independent club scene. Močvara, KSET, Tvornica kulture, Vintage Industrial Bar, Dva Osam and AKC Attack have prepared a showcase of their year-round programming for festival visitors. Their DJs and DJ collectives will present the distinct programming profile of the local scene, highlighting programmes that have shaped Zagreb’s independent music culture for decades, as well as those introducing fresh genre explorations.
For the second year in a row, the festival also continues its Silent Cinema programme, featuring film screenings selected by Animafest, ZagrebDox and the Human Rights Film Festival, while a striking VJ programme will take place at the Tesla Tower.
After the headliners wrap up their shows on the Main Stage, the best afterparty kicks off at the Night Stage. On the first festival day, Tvornica kulture brings its Bolje muk nego zvuk programme that will keep the crowd dancing until the early morning hours. Vintage Industrial Bar takes over the second night with a party titled CTRL + ALT + INDIE, while this year’s festival will close with the legendary Dirty Dancing set by Klub Močvara, led by DJ David Hasselhoff.
The energetic KSET Disco section will once again take charge of the Silent Stage for all three festival days. The iconic Club of Electrical Engineering Students, which has been gathering creatives and enthusiasts since the 1970s, will bring not only DJ sets to INmusic #18 but also additional support in photo and video production and community management.
The electronic atmosphere of the Forest Stage, inspired by Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić’s Stribor’s Forest, will be curated by different collectives each day. On day one, Dva Osam presents Agent L, Mingo, Pasta & Space Cowboy. The second night features Pozitivan ritam & kiberculturepunk recordings with DJs GUSARISASAVE, ZGODA, GO RAT ON YOUR CAT, JASHAR and SPARTANKA. The final night will carry the crowd through to sunrise, led by KSET’s 42Hz, a collective of low-frequency music enthusiasts spinning everything from roots, dub and jungle to garage and drum’n’bass.
This year’s Hidden Stage after-hours programme embraces genre exploration and complete stylistic eclecticism. Day one is curated by Emir Fulurija from Močvara, presenting a refined selection from the Vrelo zvuka project dedicated to promoting ethno, world music and traditional sounds. The second night brings dark indie, alt-pop, EBM and new wave through the Doomscroll programme by the Dva Osam crew. The final night will be closed by AKC Attack with a heavy dub and sound system selection delivered by Jah Vuk & Hvala Sven.
INmusic Festival proudly preserves its roots. In the late 1990s, the Multikultura programme marked the first step in concert organisation for the festival’s founders. It brought some of the most important world music artists to Croatia, from Cesaria Evora and Ibrahim Ferrer to Manu Chao and Tinariwen. World music remains a strong constant in the festival’s identity, and through projects such as Multiculturalism in Music, Europavox and ETEP, INmusic has been fostering European musical connections for years. The history and future of INmusic Festival through the lens of its world music roots will be presented at the Minikultura Stage through the Global Village World Music Marathon.
A defining landmark of INmusic Festival over the past decade, the tower honouring Nikola Tesla serves as a meeting point, a favourite photo backdrop, and a symbol connecting technology, humanism and art. This year, the tower once again becomes the centre of a special audiovisual experience that adds a new dimension to a carefully curated music programme. The unique 360-degree audiovisual projection inside the Tesla Tower has been designed by Greta Mohr Pavlin, Luka Knežević and Ivan Slipčević. Visitors can expect live VJ performances across eight projection screens filled with music videos and various clips themed around music, dance and enjoyment.
In addition to the diverse music programmes curated by Zagreb’s independent concert institutions, the line-up of this year’s anniversary INmusic Festival will once again be enriched by a top-tier film programme curated by Animafest, ZagrebDox and the Human Rights Film Festival. At the Silent Stage, which transforms into the loudest quiet party by night, visitors can enjoy daily film screenings from 5 PM to 9 PM, featuring selections from renowned Croatian film festivals.
All three festivals boast decades of tradition and hold key positions not only in the Croatian but also in the global independent film scene. Animafest Zagreb, one of the world’s most important animation festivals, guarantees distinctive visual artistry and innovative artistic visions, with this year’s INmusic selection focusing on music and musical creativity. ZagrebDox brings award-winning regional and international documentaries with deep, compelling real-life stories, while the Human Rights Film Festival presents socially engaged and thought-provoking films that encourage reflection and critical examination of the world around us.
INmusic festival #18 will take place from June 22nd to June 24th 2026 at Zagreb’s Jarun.
