Sleaford Mods are joining INmusic festival #16 line up!

After an excellent concert at the last edition of INmusic festival, Sleaford Mods are returning to the Jarun islands for INmusic festival #16!

Sleaford Mods, a praised British post-punk duo from Nottingham established in 2007, are known for their raw, 'minimal and brutal' musical style and their bitter explorations of British culture and working-class life in the era of austerity. The band consists of vocalist Jason Williamson and, since 2012, musician Andrew Fearn. The controversial and political songwriter and singer Jason Williamson often criticises the political and social situation of the British lower-middle class directly and honestly through his lyrics. Williamson has said that their lyrics are "about real people struggling to survive in a world that's becoming increasingly hostile to them."

Sleaford Mods gained attention from a wider audience and critical acclaim in 2014 with their seventh studio album, 'Divide and Exit,' in which they precisely and bluntly uncover the underbelly of Great Britain from the perspective of the neglected working class. Their globally praised eleventh studio album, 'Spare Ribs,' was released in January 2021 as a manifesto of an exhausted and demoralised pandemic society, where Sleaford Mods present the brutal truth, stripped to the bone, without illusions of quick or easy solutions. After an excellent debut performance in Croatia at the INmusic festival in 2022, Sleaford Mods returned to the studio and released 'UK GRIM' in 2023. This album is an electronic vision that truly addresses times that were anything but 'precedent'. The pronounced instinctive energy that irresistibly moves bodies and minds brought 'UK GRIM' numerous praises from critics and the audience.

Sleaford Mods join the already impressive INmusic festival #16 line up alongside previously announced greats - The Smashing Pumpkins, The National, Viagra Boys, The Gaslight Anthem, and many more to be announced. Their return to the INmusic festival is great news for all alternative music fans. Sleaford Mods are a band that doesn't shy away from controversy, and their performances are always thrilling and unforgettable. Tickets for INmusic festival #16 are available through the official festival webshop at a price of 89 EUR for regular tickets and 7-day camping tickets at a price of 49 EUR.
