JAMIROQUAI
One of the leading acid jazz and funk bands of today's time, Jamiroquai, fronted by the charismatic Jay Kay, confirmed their show at INmusic festival 2011.
Formed in London in 1992, Jamiroquai soon became the most prominent component in the early 1990s acid jazz movement alongside groups such as Incognito, Brand New Heavies, Galliano and Corduroy. Their first single "When You Gonna Learn" earned them instant success and a £1,000,000 eight-album record deal with Sony BMG Music Entertainment. Jamiroquai's full-length debut, "Emergency on Planet Earth", followed in 1993 and became a major hit in their native England spawning such Top Ten hit singles as "Too Young to Die" and "Blow Your Mind." The band's international breakthrough came with their third album, Travelling without Moving in 1996, which yielded two big hits, "Virtual Insanity" and "Cosmic Girl".
In 2010, the band released their long-awaited, seventh studio album Rock Dust Light Star, which marks their return to a more organic funk sound and which was very well received both among fans and critics. No doubt, Jamirouqai's performance at this year's festival is going to be a truly unforgettable music and dance experience.
